Abraham married Matilda “Mae” [her last name may be either RITLER or MINOR] and moved his family to Ohio in 1854. His wife and daughter moved on to Oregon. It seems likely that his wife’s name was Ella [maiden name unknown} who was born about 1848 in Ohio and that their daughter was Matilda also known as “Tilla” who was born about 1871 in Kansas. The 1875 census for Highland Township, Kansas lists Ella Knopenberger with her daughter, Tilla, age 9, born Kansas. We therefore assume that Hiram died prior to 1875.
