Wurde diesen beyden Ehegatten, als dem ehrsamen Henrich Knappenberger, und geliebte Ehegattin Hanna, eingeborene Bender, den 30ten Januar im Jahr unseres Herrn und Heylands 1825 zur Welt geboren, und den 10ten July darnach durch das Bad der heiligen Taufe gereiniget, und der christlichen Gemeine einverleibt, durch den ehr: Herrn N.P. Hacke, reform: Prediger.  Taufzeugen waren bey dieser heiligen Handlung ihre geliebete Mutter selbst.

Was born into the world on the 30th of January in the Year of Our Lord 1825, to Mr. Henrich Knappenberger and his beloved wife Hanna, née Bender, husband and wife, and in the same year on July 10th purified through the washing of Holy Baptism, and thereby incorporated into the Christian Church, the Reverend Mr. N.P. Hacke, Pastor in the Reformed tradition, officiating.  Witnesses to this sacred act were her beloved mother herself.

Indeed, in true devotion
I have obliged myself to You,
to You my heart always is committed,
always toward You my spirit is directed;
O, how blessed we continue,
through the Covenant, O Lord, with You.
Strengthen me, Lord, with Your might,
shield me from the power of sin,
grant that I by taking care
may wrest myself from error.
Be my soul devout and pure,
steadfast till in death I rest. Amen.
